Read the above linked article to see how the Radical Left (who usually advance progressive issues such as Women’s Rights and the abolition of the death penalty) are increasingly linking up with Radical Islam. Both require a common enemy to explain their failed policies and repressive ways.
As a note, the author of the article (Robert Spencer) and the book mentioned in the article (David Horowitz) are both considered right-wing. So hard-core lefties will not see any connection, will not see any failed policies and will not see any problem with linking the Radical Left and Radical Islam.
