Roundup of Iran’s Great Game

One stop shopping on current events in Iran. Read Winds of Change.NET: Iran’s Great Game for a complete overview of what’s going on in this critical part of the world.

The mullahs in Iran have two main goals at this point: (1) Repress their own population and (2) destabilize Iraq and Afghanistan.

Looks like they are succeeding on both fronts so far.

Will it come down to another liberation war?

If so, how will the regional powers stack up on this issue? I see Russia against even more than they were in Iraq. As a note, Russia (with UN veto power) was actively assisting Iraq in the run-up to the recent war.

I don’t see much popular support for a war of liberation in Iran. And that’s a shame, because they are probably more dangerous to the US than Iraq ever was.
